We came into the world with nothing, and we leave the same way. We can hold on to Jesus, He's a warm home on a cold and rainy day. Our life is marked in stages And when we pass away, We enter the final stage of life Where only love holds sway. A mountain, with the passage of time, Will simply fade away, and so will the universe, So the scientists say. Love is the only part of our reality That's strong enough To last eternally. The end of this short life Is the beginning of an eternal one, Given by the love of God Through his only begotten son. If they ever came close to figuring it all out With only one mystery left to see, The last one to contemplate will be Jesus walking on the water of the Sea of Galilee. He created this earth we live on, For him a simple feat. Small wonder the water would become Pavement under his feet.
