In Indonesia, the Dutch language is not widely spoken, even after 350 years of presence during the colonial period. However, the language remains through the many loanwords used in Indonesian and several local languages. This book shows the many Dutch words found in Indonesia through photos of those words found on signs on the streets and in shops.

Di Indonesia, bahasa Belanda bukanlah bahasa yang umum digunakan, bahkan setelah 350 tahun hadir di kepulauan ini. Namun, bahasa tersebut tetap bertahan melalui banyak kata serapan yang digunakan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan beberapa bahasa daerah. Buku ini menampilkan banyak kata-kata Belanda di Indonesia melalui fotofoto tanda-tanda jalan dan toko-toko.

Toch leeft de taal nog voort in de vele leenwoorden die in het Indonesisch en verschillende lokale talen worden gebruikt. Dit boek laat de vele Nederlandse woorden in Indonesië zien door foto’s van die woorden op borden op straat en in winkels.
