Description

Danny Markham operates a modest private investigation office in Baltimore in the early 1980s. She is faced with a moral dilemma when one of her clients hires her to find his daughter. But the daughter is deathly afraid of this man who was acquitted of killing her mother. Should she tell the father how to find her? Danny juggles this case and many others as she acquires two new assistants: a computer wiz with bi-polar disease, and a young black teenager fighting against his family's involvement in drugs. Besides her challenges at work, Danny deals with the complexities of living on a boat during the winter in Maryland.
