This book is about our identity with God through Jesus Christ. I call it HIGHdentity! God has a much higher view of us than other people usually do, or even we do of ourselves. So if you wish to elevate your self-esteem to Christ-esteem, and your personal worth from death valley to Pike's Peak, read on! We see our worth according to what we accomplish or do. God sees worth in terms of what Jesus did on the cross for us. That humongous action and sacrifice produced Righteousness for us, as a gift, for, "God made Him, who knew no sin, to become sin for us, that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5.21 And that is a remarkable, life-changing swap: His Righteousness for our sin! Wow! How can God be so merciful, and Jesus so willing to go all the way to crucifixion on a cross, for us, mere sinners, who don't even seek God in our natural state, until His Spirit draws us unto Himself.
