English summary: Noble female office-holders at the court of Louis XIV are to a large extent still uncharted territory. Therefore, the research of Regina Schleuning is directed at integrating them into the courtly setting by, on the one hand, providing basic data about the households of the female members of the famille royale and the female charges, and, on the other hand, analysing their roles, options of action and meaning in interpersonal relationships. This approach contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the early modern court and nobility as well as the meaning of gender in both of them. German description: Adelige Frauen veranderten das Erscheinungsbild des franzosischen Konigshofs nachhaltig. Gleichwohl ist uber ihre etabliertesten Vertreterinnen, die hofischen Amtstragerinnen, bisher wenig bekannt. Fur die Regierungszeit Ludwigs XIV. legt die Autorin nun eine grundlegende Untersuchung weiblicher Hofamter vor, die sowohl die Rahmenbedingungen fur die Amtsausubung adeliger Frauen offenlegt als auch ihre zentrale Rolle als Akteurinnen der hofischen Gesellschaft aufzeigt. Im Fokus der Arbeit steht dabei die Frage nach der Relevanz ihres Geschlechts fur die Wahrnehmung von Handlungsspielraumen an einem der bedeutendsten Hofen der Fruhen Neuzeit.
