English description: The Chronicle of the Popes and Emperors of the Dominican Martin of Troppau (also known as Martinus Polonus) was copied by the hundred and probably the most influential history in late medieval Europe. Both its wide circulation in England and the numerous English (let alone Scottish) chronicles, in which material from Martin can be traced, have not yet been the subject of a detailed examination; the scholarly study of Wolfgang-Valentin Ikas aims at closing this gap. German description: Die Papst- und Kaiserchronik des Martin von Troppau, O.P. stellt im spatmittelalterlichen Europa ein Werk von konkurrenzloser Popularitat dar, sowohl in Hinblick auf die Anzahl der uberlieferten Handschriften als auch hinsichtlich der Geschichtsschreiber, bei denen ein Ruckgriff auf sein Werk nachweisbar ist. Die Studie von Wolfgang-Valentin Ikas versucht, das Forschungsdesiderat der facettenreichen Uberlieferungs- und Wirkungsgeschichte durch eine exemplarische - da auf die britischen Inseln beschrankte - Untersuchung zu erfullen.
