Justice—what the hell is justice anyway?

That's the burning question I've been asking myself, since my failed encounter with the legal system. To some, justice is winning a huge settlement. To others, justice is getting their pound of flesh—some even believe justice has been served when a wrong is made right.

Justice failed me in my farce of a trial. I sat in court and watched people lie and cheat to win—all in the name of justice. I no longer think of integrity and truth when I think of justice. I think of a justice system that has become unethical, unfair, and corrupt.

For me justice was served for the party with the most money and power. When all this started all I wanted was the truth to be told and justice to be served.
