English summary: This book encompasses the first partial commentary on book 1 of the Posthomerica by Quintus of Smyrna. The commentary focuses on intertextuality and the use of Homeric formulaic speech, and is preceded by an introduction which deals with the specific linguistic features of the Posthomerica, and its significance within the Second Sophistic. Further, the structure of book 1 is analysed, and the Amazonomachy is discussed on the basis of contemporary gender and identity discourses. German text. German description: Die Arbeit stellt die erstmalige Teilkommentierung (Verse 1-219) des ersten Buches der Posthomerica des Quintus Smyrnaeus dar, welches in Fortsetzung der Ilias das Geschick der Amazonenkonigin Penthesileia vor Troja berichtet. Auf essayhafte Einleitungen zu den einzelnen inhaltlichen Einheiten folgt der jeweilige Lemmakommentar. Vorangestellt sind der Arbeit eine Einleitung zum Gesamtwerk sowie zu Posthomerica 1. Diese setzt sich u.a. vertieft mit Sprache und Formgestalt des Werks sowie dessen Bedeutung im Kontext der Zweiten Sophistik auseinander. Ferner werden die narrative Struktur des ersten Buches analysiert und die Amazonomachie vor dem Hintergrund zeitgenossischer Geschlechter- und Identitatsdiskurse in einen konkreten Rezeptionskontext gestellt.
