My name is Helena Basque. I was attacked by a strange wolf that scarred my face when I was seven years old. That creature was part of the Lycanthru, a cult of men who transform themselves into large wolves that can still speak and plan attacks on our province.
I'm only sixteen, but I've been trained to ride and hunt and fight. My repeating crossbow contains silver-tipped bolts that bring swift death to the wolves, causing them to fear me and the sight of my red hooded cloak.
Now they plan to take over more than the province, at a royal masquerade ball being held to honor the Queen. If I can't find a way inside that party, the Lycanthru will kill everyone I love and enslave every survivor for the rest of our lives.
So I'm finding a way in. And not letting one Lycanthru out.
