Summary of Regards for the Disregards
The book is a philosophical exploration of humanity's estrangement from Nature, reframing "pollution" as a multi-dimensional phenomenon that extends beyond physical waste to include institutional, psychological, and spiritual toxins. The book is organized into five parts:
Part I discusses Nature, Nature of Nature, The Individual, The nonlinear Natural Order, Quietism and minimalism.
The remaining parts describe how our behavioural codes get rewritten by our civilized environment. Other parts try to highlight that we have mistaken complexity for intelligence, and conquest for evolution. It further goes on to highlight the hitherto unnoticed sideffcts of * Development Through Pollution*
The book is an effort to highlight the fact that *root case of pollution is something much beyond our industries*. It's the pollution of our very thought process.
