Sylvia, Or The Nymph Of Diana is a ballet composed by Jules Barbier in 1886. The ballet is divided into two acts and four tableaux. The story is based on Greek mythology and revolves around the character of Sylvia, a nymph who serves the goddess Diana. Sylvia falls in love with a mortal shepherd named Aminta, but their love is threatened by the evil sorcerer Orion who wants Sylvia for himself. The ballet features lavish sets and costumes, and the music is composed by L��o Delibes.
