English summary: The articles collected in this volume deal with the literary genre of the Book of Job, its central anthropological and theological themes, such as the relationship between justice, suffering, and time, as well as its early history of reception. They place the text within the context of ancient Near Eastern theodicy poems and examine its place in the history of biblical literature and theology, and also shed light on its protagonists of the early Greek, Aramaic, Syrian and Latin translations. All essays strive to portray the many facets the Book of Job has developed in the course of its composition, edition, and early reception. A special focus is on the antique and late antique versions of the Book of Job. For here the variations of the character of Job, which are already reflected in the compositional and editorial history of the Hebrew text, are continued. Narrative blanks of the Hebrew version are filled. Through internal Scriptural interpretation, characters in the book are elaborated upon and Job himself is placed within the history of biblical figures and events. German description: Die in diesem Band gesammelten Beitr?ge behandeln die literarische Gattung des Buches Hiob, seine zentralen anthropologischen und theologischen Themen, wie das Verh?ltnis von Gerechtigkeit, Leid und Zeit, sowie die fr?he Rezeptionsgeschichte. Die Stellung des Buches Hiob im Kontext antiker und vorderorientalische Theodizeedichtungen und sein Ort in der biblischen Literatur- und Theologiegeschichte kommen dabei ebenso zu Wort wie die Buchgestalten der fr?hen griechischen, aram?ischen, syrischen und lateinischen ?bersetzungen. Alle Aufs?tze verbindet, dass sie die vielf?ltigen Gesichter, die Hiob im Laufe der Komposition, Redaktion und fr?hen Rezeption erhalten hat, zum Strahlen zu bringen versuchen. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf den antiken und sp?tantiken Versionen des Hiobbuches. Denn in ihnen setzt sich die Vielfalt der Profilierung der Figur Hiobs, die sich schon in der Kompositions- und Redaktionsgeschichte des hebr?ischen Textes spiegelt, fort. Narrative Leerstellen, die das hebr?ische Hiobbuch enth?lt, werden gef?llt. Im Modus einer innerbiblischen Schriftauslegung werden Figuren aus dem Buch ausgestaltet und Hiob selbst in der Geschichte biblischer Gestalten und Geschehen verortet.
