Perfection Theresita Fields is an 11-year-old Black girl with a name as bold as her dreams. With her twelfth birthday just two weeks away, she carries a quiet wish in her heart: to be beautiful. Living in a loving home with her older sister Paradise, her basketball-coach mother, and her builder father, Perfection often feels like she's still searching for her place in the world.
