The snow is snowing, the wind is blowing…
Lady Noelle Bonneville is a widow after a decade of marriage to a man old enough to be her grandfather. She has no intention of ever marrying again. But when she arrives at the Dorsey house party, she encounters the only man who ever touched her heart. Lord Evergreen begged her to marry him years ago. She was forced to refuse him, and he's never forgiven her. Now they're under the same roof, and he's courting other young ladies while Noelle can only watch. When he announces that he wants nothing to do with her, Noelle decides to leave the party early, but the weather outside has turned as stormy as the atmosphere inside the house.
Can they weather the storm?
Graham Birmingham, Earl of Evergreen has held his title for two years. Even so, he's been under pressure to marry and produce an heir, and he accepts the invitation to the Dorsey house party to appease his family. He would much rather read than socialize. And he'd prefer never to encounter Lady Bonneville again. He'd been hopelessly in love with her ten years ago, but she stomped on his heart. Every time he sees her, he must fight his lingering attraction for her. She only makes things worse when she puts her own reputation at risk to save him from a compromising situation. And now that a snowstorm rages outside, they're trapped together.
As the world turns icy, relations between Noelle and Graham begin to thaw. But can Graham put aside his pride and convince Noelle to give matrimony just one more chance?
