You'd think being a landlord would be simple: collect rent, fix the occasional leaky faucet, stop the neighbor wars from escalating to murder. Well, you'd be wrong.
Velour Court is home to ghosts, gods, and everything in between. There's Bigby, a grumpy werewolf who terrifies everyone (though she's really just misunderstood), Dionysus, who's either a world-class sommelier or just very drunk. Oh, and Lucifer Morningstar. She's lovely but a bit on the quiet side.
To top it all off, the Board of Peculiar Living wants to tear this place down in five months. Supposedly it's "uninhabitable"—which is a gross exaggeration. Sure, there's a small rat problem (they pay rent, technically), a minor bird infestation, and the occasional accident where someone falls into the basement (really, it's not as bad as it sounds). But Velour Court is home. My home.
Now, if only I can stop everything from literally falling apart before they show up with the wrecking ball.
