This is the twelfth in a series of volumes of family histories pertaining to the colonial families of the Eastern Shore. Nearly all the families in this volume settled in Old Somerset County, which was eventually split into the counties of Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties.
This series draws from probate records (wills, inventories, administrations and balance books), land records (deeds, land patents, ejectments, land commissions), court records (criminal, civil and chancery), tax lists (particularly useful with families of Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico), church records, Bible records, cemetery records, and published family histories (sometimes obscure).
