This collection is a precious testimony of a rare production - a new line of ceramics created by Chaplet in 1883 for the Limoges-based factory Haviland & Co.
Ernest Chaplet sheds deserved light on this great artist, whose career exemplifies the evolution of artistic ceramics at the turn of the 20th century, and whose work entered the collections of many museums during his lifetime.
