The grammar makes accessible the essential aspects of the language as far as they are recorded in still available sources. The entire corpus of published Sabaean texts including informal inscriptions on wooden cylinders forms the basis for this study. It also covers historical linguistic and dialectic developments as well as formal aspects of the written recordings.
