It is 1872 and Elizabeth Founier decides to become a Mail Order Bride.

Elizabeth Founier is a young woman from Georgia who is not interested in getting married to any of the rich young suitors her parents have chosen for her. When they try to get her to marry a steady young man, Elizabeth escapes the ceremony and seems to be oblivious to her scandalous behavior. Her parents are at their wits end and decide to give her what she wants: adventure. They suggest to her to become a Mail Order Bride to travel out west, hoping she might come to her senses then.

But Elizabeth is surprisingly willing to go, mainly because she is excited about the adventure. Her parents agree for her to marry Jules Murphy. Jules and Elizabeth have exchanged no correspondence before they meet each other for the first time. The first weeks of the relationship are very rocky and Elizabeth is trying to run away again.

Just when she has the chance to finally escape her new marriage an emergency happens on the ranch, so she feels obliged to stay. Will Jules be able to win her Love or will she stay a runaway bride for good?
