»Ich habe mich gefragt: Wie ist das eigentlich, wie spricht denn nun der Logos, gerade auch hier in dieser Tagung? Ich behaupte mal, er spricht auch aus mir irgendwie, und in ganz vielfältiger Form aus allen Menschen. Das ist doch etwas Erstaunliches, da tönt er aus der Musik von Lorenz Stolzenbach in einer besonderen Weise, da spricht er in der Sprache von Johannes Stüttgen, da tönt er in den Gesprächen der Menschen miteinander, untereinander, über Sprachgrenzen hinweg, und natürlich auch in der Menschenweihehandlung. Aber was macht das eigentlich? Es wird immer mehr und mehr, und man hat den Eindruck: Irgendwie kriege ich das gar nicht mehr zusammen. Auch in der Vorbereitung wurde mir das immer mehr deutlich; nun habe ich hier 19 Blätter mit Sachen, über die man mal reden könnte und mal darüber nachdenken könnte. Was davon jetzt noch übrig bleibt, das werden wir einfach sehen; ich kann es nicht genau sagen. Aber das Vielstimmige scheint mir tatsächlich eine Urwesenheit des Logos zu sein.«»I asked myself: How is it actually, how does the Logos speak, especially here in this conference? But this polyphony actually seems to me to be a primal essence of the Logos.«
