1985' is een nieuw samengestelde deluxe box in beperkte oplage van Mike Scott, de leider van The Waterboys, die het verhaal vertelt van het maken van hun historische album This Is The Sea en de tijdloze single The Whole of The Moon.
De muziek neemt de luisteraar mee door 95 nummers op zes cd's, waaronder 64 niet eerder uitgebrachte opnames van thuisopnames, vroege demo's, alternatieve versies, outtakes, live-opnames en tv-/radiosessies over het opnameproces van het album, samen met de geremasterde versie van het This Is The Sea-album.
Het boek is een harde kaft van 220 pagina's met daarin een verslag uit de eerste hand van de creatie van het album met diepgaande opnamedetails, achtergrond, culturele context, foto's (veel voorheen ongezien), songwritingpagina's, songteksten en voorheen ongeziene geschriften.
Tekst door Waterboys' zanger en songwriter Mike Scot met extra secties door Anthony Thistlethwaite en Max Edie.
Stevige slipcase, 6 cd's en een boek met harde kaft van 220 pagina's en gedrukt inlegvel. Gelimiteerd tot 3.000 exemplaren wereldwijd.
