Organoide Formen der Kunst verlassen ihren angestammten Platz an der Wand und wachsen gleichsam in den Raum hinein. Sie hängen als verlebendigte Gebilde unter einer Decke, nisten sich in Nischen ein oder sind als vollplastische Skulpturen auf dem Boden platziert. Ihre aktuelle Serie "Biomorphe Malerei" (2018/19) hat die Künstlerin Dorothee Diebold (geb. 1988) durch die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Tafelbild entwickelt. Die weichen, gepolsterten Rundungen sind mit einer "Stoffhaut" überzogen, die man in der Malerei als Bildoberfläche bezeichnen würde. Diebold befragt das Verhältnis von Volumen und Oberfläche und Dichte und Schwere auf eine irritierende Weise, die den Betrachter zu einer eigenen Haltung herausfordert.Organoid forms leave their traditional place on the wall and protrude into the space. They hang like living entities under a ceiling, nestle in niches or are placed on the floor as sculptures. Dorothee Diebold developed her current series of Biomorphic Paintings (2018/19) through an examination of the panel painting. She thus questions the relationship between volume and surface, density and heaviness in a way that irritates viewers in a positive way.
