When I used to go to the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival there was a small club off the beaten track, and this club used to draw my attention as it was like the old speak-easies of the 'Roaring' 20s'where jazz started in Chicago.
The story may be fiction but the setting and the feel of the club are as real as any musician who played jazz.
