Microspheres are successfully utilized for drug targeting but they show poor site specificity and are rapidly cleared off by RES (reticuloendothelial system) under normal circumstances.Improvement of patient compliance can be accomplished by this method. 1)Although magnetic nanoparticles, emulsions, liposomes can be made but they are less stable than magnetic microspheres. 2) Magnetic microspheres are easily recyclable and can be used in different fields.
