Slow Down. Even Jesus Took Naps.
What in your life feels so urgent that you believe you can't slow down and rest? The Lord makes things simple. We are the ones who tend to complicate what He teaches us. In this 28-day devotional, you'll practice how to make His rest a part of your everyday living by:
When you rest in Him, you can finally stop living exhausted and start living restored.
1. Start small. Each day is designed to take about 14 minutes. That's 1 percent of your day. Begin there.
2. Rest on the seventh day. On that day, put into practice resting in and with the Father with no agenda other than to be with Him. The seventh day includes a verse to help focus your thoughts.
3. Pray. Use the Simplifying Rest prayer on page 10 or follow the daily prayer prompts.
4. Continue growing in your spiritual practice of rest. Incorporate what you learn into your daily routines and rituals. See how God blesses your offering of time to lead you to grow closer to Him and to receive His restorative gift of rest.
