Description

During an early morning jog, Dr. Cynthia Motts finds Judge Gideon Updike badly beaten and near death on the local high school's running track.

After saving the judge's life, Cynthia meets his family at the hospital. She realizes his daughter, Evangeline Updike-Humphreys, is the same woman she had a summer fling while in college, decades ago.
