This is a short book following Pain, a young adult who accidently stole immortality from his king and is imprisoned and punished. He quickly escapes his homeland and begins a tortured journey without a clue of where he is going. He ends up in an abandon ruin where he experiences his first kill of a creature that sought to make his life miserable. After having a taste of triumph, he made it his goal to obtain power so that nothing would ever toy with his immortality again.
This is the first book of a ten book series that follows Pain throughout his journey in a first person narrative. It contains contemporary North American language making it fairly easy to follow for a high fantasy concept, with only few new terms describing items only existing within this book.
This book's target audience are young adults ranging 17 years old to 25, LitRPG fans, fantasy lovers and two hour reads.
